Woodrow Singleton

Woodrow "Woody" Singleton of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away July 23, 2012 in Montgomery, TX while being cared for by his daughter, Cheryl and her family. He was born in Weston, WV on August 18, 1939 to the late Ralph and Hazel Singleton.
Woody served our country in the Navy and retired as an Akron Police officer in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles, Richard and Barbara; daughter-in-law, Darlene.
Woody is survived by his children, Jim (Donnita), David (Gena), Cheryl (David) Gerrard, Michael (Tanya) and Debi (Dave) Plazo; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph (Jerrie).
Family and friends may call on Sunday, July 29, from 3-5 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 1 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
