Yvonne K. Boggs (Barnhart)

December 5th, 1961-December 19th, 2024

She was the oldest daughter born of Harriet and Ivan Barnhart.

Yvonne was an amazing wonderful woman with many talents. She was really great at sewing. She made all her children and grandchildren their curtains and bedding and all their crochet blankets. She was an amazing cook too. She made the best homemade chicken and dumplings and macaroni salad. She was into baking. Around the holidays it was so fun we’d all gather at her house making cookies and homemade chocolate and watch movies as a family. She loved gardening and planting flowers. Her house was always filled with plants. She also loved her horror/sifi movies and she was into muscle car’s. She loved her Montecarlo.

Yvonne was the best mother to her children. She was always there for her children, always there for them every step of life’s hard moments, to life’s happiest. She was always there always involved. She made sure her children knew she’d go to the ends of the earth for them. She showed it by being there for them and loving them and caring for them with her whole being. Just by being a great mom being there through thick and thin being consistent and being there in every moment and every memory to be made.

Yvonne was the best Mimi (grandma) you could have ever asked for through and through. She lived and breathed for all her grandchildren. She was an amazing Mimi always going above and beyond spoiling all her grandbabies. Mimi’s words was law it trumped whatever our parents had to say. She was great.

Yvonne was such a kind and caring person who wears her heart on her sleeve but also a force to be reckoned with. She’s the type of person to give the shirt off her back or give the last dollar in her pocket. If she had it, you had it too. She didn’t taken any crap either or let people walk all over her. She was an iron fist when needed to be that’s for sure. She wasn’t afraid to tell you like it was.

Our Mom/Mimi was the rock of our family she really held us all together. We’re going to deeply miss her. We’re going to miss hearing her voice and getting those random phone calls or those random visits when she’d just pop up just to see you. We’re going to miss her sassy ways and her silliness, but most of all we’re going to miss her love and just her period.
